'People need to be aware that EDNOS sufferers aren't just being a 'bit funny' about food. But because it's not as well-known as anorexia or bulimia, some sufferers don't feel people understand or take it seriously. That needs to change….BMI is used as a crude way of rationing services and has no clinical basis'

Heads up guys.  Body shaming doesn’t just happen to women.  Recently, baseball player Prince Fielder stripped down for ESPN’s Body issue and here are the comments that accompanied.  Now, I will acknowledge that these are all male contributes, but it’s still shining a light on fat shaming for men, and how athletes (and anyone who poses nude) are socially expected to be perfect.

I’m not going to downplay the amount of shit women get on their bodies, but I would like to point out that this made news today.

He can still get it…I don’t care! I don’t care!

This. Look at these disgusting comments.

This man is gorgeous!!

"More chins than a chinese phonebook"????

These people are not even looking at the thing they are bitching about. They are mindlessly repeating dumb statements. It’s like they have to prove something; see a fat person? call them a pig or else someone might think you’re okay with fat people.

Patriarchal masculinity is SO FRAGILE that you have to constantly perform it in the comments on every page, like some kind of magic chant, lest it start to crack around the edges and allow someone to feel good about themselves for even a moment.

Rant over. That dude’s a hunk, errybody knows it.

funniest part is that guarantee that he’s better shape than of them. way better

Obsessively trying to eat strictly healthy food and micromanaging all your meals is NOT healthy. Being absolutely terrified of certain foods because they are not 100% “clean” is NOT healthy. Feeling bad for enjoying food, regardless of its nutritional value, is NOT HEALTHY.
